MEET OUR BREWER
Ken Wimmer is a self taught brewer who started brewing beer sometime in the 80’s. We are very proud to introduce him as House Brewer at Hops Brewery. Known to his former students as “Wimmdog”, Ken is an Albuquerque native who was the drama director at Eldorado high school for 14 years. He then went on to teach English for the next 10 years before retiring. When he isn’t brewing beer, Ken and his wife Kathy love to travel. They enjoy taking roadtrips throughout the U.S. and visiting the British Isles. In fact, Ken gets a lot of brewing inspiration by tasting beer from all around the world. Come on in and meet Ken; he would love to “talk beer” with you!
